DJ Django, born Alexander Skempris, is a prominent figure in the psytrance music scene, hailing from Corfu, Greece. His artistic journey began in 2012, and since then, he has established himself as a versatile and innovative musician. DJ Django's work spans multiple sub-genres of psytrance, including psychill, downtempo, progressive psytrance, and forest/dark psytrance. His projects, such as Phoenix Dubfire, Moon Temple Groovers, Dolby Caramel, G.O.A Monks, and Koera Noera, each represent a unique facet of his musical creativity.
In 2019, DJ Django founded Mushlight Records, a label dedicated to promoting his diverse range of psychedelic electronic music projects. Mushlight Records has become a significant platform for DJ Django's artistic expression, allowing him to release and distribute his music to a global audience. The label is known for its commitment to high-quality production and innovative soundscapes, which are evident in the various projects under its umbrella.

The Projects:
Phoenix Dubfire focuses on psychill and global chillout, offering listeners a relaxed and ambient experience. This project is characterized by its soothing melodic passages and atmospheric ethereal sounds, making it ideal for unwinding, introspection and meditative states.

Moon Temple Groovers delves into downtempo and psybient. The project is a collaboration between DJ Django and the Vega Moon brothers, Alex and Fotis Skempris. Their debut album, “Grooves of the Moon Temple,” consists ofnine groovy anthems that showcase their ability to blend heavy psychedelic beats with melodic atmospheric elements.

Dolby Caramel represents DJ Django’s exploration of progressive psytrance. This project is known for its sci-fithemed structures and the 'morning' progressive feeling, providing a dynamic and engaging listening experience.
